Twitter has made an announcement on itsofficial blogthat users are now sending 200 million Tweets every day. This represents phenomenal growth for the network as Twitter says that users sent two million Tweets just 2 and a half years ago and one year ago were only at 65 million per day. Twitter also outlines some figures in an infographic that put the number of messages sent over Twitter into perspective. For instance, every day the world sends the equivalent of a 10 million-page book’s worth of Tweets....

The popular video streaming site Hulu now has over 1 million paying subscribers, its CEO Jason Kilar confirmed to Goldman Sachs investors, reportedReuterson Wednesday. Kilar had forecast this milestone earlier this year and says that the site has now reached one million and is on its way to exceed that. Hulu launched its subscription service just under a year ago and he has said that it will pull in over 500$ million in revenue this year....

Hulu has justrolled outits Hulu Plus application to bring its premium video streaming service to Android users.According to theHulu blog, the free application isnow availableon the Android Marketplace; however, the bad news is that the app is only available on six Android phones initially: Nexus One, Nexus S, HTC Inspire 4G, Motorola Droid II, Motorola Droid X, and the Motorola Atrix, with “additional device announcements” due later this year. The Hulu Plus app is available for download from Android Market, and once installed, Hulu Plus subscribers will be able to enjoy all the site’s features on the go....
