Otterbox case packaging for iPhones has surfaced that bears the name ‘iPhone 4S’, adding fuel to the rumors that the next iPhone will have that name. These case packages are for an Otterbox Commuter Series iPhone case and have ‘iPhone 4S’ printed on the box. There are several shots of the packaging and they don’t look as if they were manipulated in any way....

It is looking more likely by the day that one of the devices that will be revealed at Apple’s Oct. 4 iPhone event will be called ‘iPhone 4S’. The device has been added to Apple’s inventory system and a label has appeared on a Chinese forum that details a 16GB iPhone 4S,reports 9to5Mac. Yesterday evidence of iPhone 4 models bearing an N90A code name had appeared, adding to the rumors that one of the device we will see next week is a tweaked version of the current iPhone 4, which bore the code name N90....

Last week, after the iPhone 4S was announced, without a new body style but still sporting impressive internal upgrades and a brand new voice control feature called Siri, some analysts were ‘disappointed’. If you’re a follower of Apple news, especially of its hardware releases, this probably didn’t come as much of a surprise. As they are wont to do, iFixit hasperformed its teardownof the new iPhone. The iPhone 4S is unsurprisingly very similar to its predecessor inside apart from the new A5 processor, but there are some differences worth pointing out. The new device has been confirmed to contain 512MB of RAM after an examination of the markings on the A5 byAnandtech. The 512MB confirmation isn’t all that shocking, but it does confirm that additional memory is not necessary to run Siri, the iPhone 4S’s new voice activated assistant feature....
