Apple has been granted at least a partial victory in its patent suit against Android phone maker HTC today,reports Cnet. The US International Trade Commission has today ruled that HTC violated two of Apple’s patents. The ITC judge that ruled on the case provided an initial determination that HTC had infringed on two out of the 10 patents involved in the suit, according to a statement from the company. HTC also said that it would appeal the decision....

The US International Trade Commission (USITC) has said that it will launch a probe into claims that Taiwan-based smartphone manufacturer HTC infringed portable communications patents held by Apple, a complaint that was first issued in July. The ITC issued apress release on Mondaystating that it had voted to institue an investigation into legal action brought by Apple against HTC over patents related to portable communications devices, such a user interfaces....
