ITV partners with Nestle to roll out first product placement

British broadcasting company ITV will become the first broadcaster to feature a product placed brand on a UK-produced television programme, partnering with Nestle to see the Dulce Gusto coffee brand highlighted during “This Morning” later today. BrandRepublic reportsthe deal is expected to earn ITV up to £100,000 for allowing product placement on one of its programmes and comes after a recent change in the Broadcasting Code by media regulator Ofcom which come into effect today....

However, sometimes the social network’s tagging goes horribly wrong. The funniest example I’ve seen is of the algorithm tagging cat pictures under dog topic (and vice versa). Here are some examples: I do so hate the Twitter algorithm suggestions, but this one takes the prize for perfect stupidity in highlighting that it’s wrong: a picture of a cat in the Twitter feed of the cat, with cat in the name, beneath ‘Dogs Follow Topic’....
