The battle between brands is most often fought by vociferous fans of one or the other. You can’t make a positive comment about Windows without being an Apple hater, you can’t say you use IE without being ridiculed by Firefox users. There is apparently even a McDonalds/Burger King rivalry in some areas of the country I’ve been told. The ultrabook initiative launched by Intel is running into snags based on difficulties matching the price tag set by Apple’s MacBook Air,reports DigiTimes. Intel’sinitiativehas attracted manufacturers like Acer, Asustek and Lenovo, who are looking to find a way to produce thin and light notebooks that can compete with the MacBook Air, once thought to be a failed experiment by Apple. The ultrabook specifications call for the retail pricing of these notebooks to be set below the $999 price point and to appear in the fourth quarter of 2011....
