Well, well, well…Just when we thought that we wouldn’t see another addition to the Halo franchise, Microsoft has accidentally pushed live an update on its E3-themed website which has confirmed that Halo 4 is in development and “on the way”. Microsoft is still a few hours from its E3 2011 briefing but the Xbox.com went live with the update for a brief time, giving excited gamers the chance to see that Halo 4 is real, also confirming Dance Central 2, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Kinect Star Wars and Kinect Sports 2....

It’s no secret the tech industry often doesn’t fully represent the people it attempts to serve. Tech companies can often be homogenous, and many of those who leave the industry can end up feeling excluded by workplace cultures that don’t feel inclusive. And yet, paradoxically, there are more spots open for technical jobs than there are people to fill them. It’s a clear sign the tech industry can do more to ensure the success of underrepresented groups....

It’s Microsoft’s Hack Day competition on Saturday 11th of June, and more than 200 developers in London will be given full access to National Rail Enquiries (NRE) live departures information services to see who can develop the best app. Last month, wereportedon how SoundRain had been developed for SoundCloud at a similar hack day in San Francisco, and it went to market within a week of the event. Hack days are designed to encourage innovation and it seems that NRE has a track record in engaging with the developer community towards developing ideas for apps, by people who see a market for obtaining a licence from NRE’s information services....
