An Ontario-based band calledThe Blue Stoneshas just released their first music video for “I’m a Stereo” using FaceTime technology. Within the video, the new band which consists of two actors appear to be collaborating on a song using a mobile web conferencing app. We had a chance to speak with the director of the videoGavin Booth, and he told us that he shot the video using a Canon T2i which was used to film the band actually streaming to an iPhone 4 over Apple’s FaceTime application....

‘Hulu for music videos’ serviceVevois now live in the UK, the first time it has been available outside the US and Canada. Originally scheduled for late last year, a launch for the service outside North America was delayed, although some of its content was previously accessible via YouTube. In what appears to be a first, a musician has turned to cult location-based gameGeocachingto promote his music. The campaign promoting German-American rock ‘n’ roll violinist David Garrett involves around 1,500 unique trackable items in the form of 2”x2” metal tags on keychains which have been hidden across the US and Germany. Each tag features a photo of Garrett and a unique code, and when they find one, fans can enter the code on Garrett’sFacebook pageto log its movements before hiding it at a new location for someone else to find....
