The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has said that athletes competing at next year’s Olympic Games, held in London, will be able to post updates on their experiences on Twitter, providing they don’t tweet commercially to promote products or services,Reuters reports. Utilising guidelines issued by the Australian Olympic Committee, the IOC has said it “”actively encourages and supports athletes … to take part in ‘social media’ and to post, blog and tweet their experiences”....

In its latest move, Oman’s Telecom Authority is sending a very clear message – online anonymity in Oman is not an option. At least, if you’re going online in an Internet cafe that is. The Omani governmental department has put a rule into effect making it mandatory for Internet-cafe owners to send details of their customers on a weekly basis. Keeping a record of all customers was always a requirement, but one which was largely ignored....

Omni Group CEO Ken Case has made astatementon Twitter that confirms that all of the company’s document based apps for the Mac and iPad, including OmniGraffle, OmniGraphSketcher, OmniOutliner and Omniplan, will be getting iCloud support. Casesaysthat OmniFocus will not be getting iCloud syncing right away because it already has a free cloud syncing solution and would need to be rebuilt to include iCloud support. In addition to iCloud support, Case says that its GTD app OmniFocus will gain geofencing as well....
