Desktop and mobile browsing software company Opera Software today announced two new features for itsOpera Mobile and Opera Miniapplications, updating the popular browsers to include search suggestions and domain learning. Both Opera Mini 6.1 and Opera Mobile 11.1 browsers now incorporate search suggestions for Google and Yandex, working similarly to autocomplete options on Google Search-enabled Android and iPhone applications including Safari and the official Google app. As well as completing search queries, Opera has added a smart learning feature into the address bar which adapts to user search habits, analysing new top-level domains such as ....

OPOWERis a startup whose technology has saved users over $213 million kilowatt-hours of electricity and over $24 million in energy bills since it launched in 2007 with headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. And it’s about to step it up, rapidly. A recent report by Wireless Intelligenceindicates that Africa exceeded Western Europe in mobile connections in the final quarter of 2010. According to the report, African mobile connections reached about 547.5 million during the last three months of 2010 compared to about 523.6 million connections in Western Europe.
