According toThe Telegraph, UK property website Rightmove is to start listing the broadband speeds of its one million house listings, adapting to include one of the most requested pieces of information from potential buyers when looking at properties. The broadband speed data will be provided by BT, which provides the backbone for nearly all of the UK’s telecoms network but also serves as the biggest Internet provider, displaying whether listed houses are covered by the company’s new fibre-optic broadband service called BT Infinity....

RIM has just announced that it hasacquiredScoreloop, one of the pioneers in mobile social gaming. Founded in 2008, Munich basedScoreloopis popularly known for offering cross platform social and collaborative gaming SDKs and adding social elements to a game. Although the terms of acquisition were not announced, RIM said Scoreloop team will focus on creating social app experiences through its BBM Social Platform which was launched earlier this year. Also, it will work with the Scoreloop team and provide tools to BlackBerry developers to help improve the social gaming scene on the BlackBerry platform....

After being accused ofinfringing on Dolby Laboratories’ patentsand sued in both the U.S and Germany, Canadian smartphone maker RIM has agreed to license Dolby’s technologies, ensuring the lawsuits against it were dismissed. RIM has now licensed Dolby’s High Efficiency Advanced Audio Coding (“HE AAC” ), which provides efficient audio compression, allowing smartphone and consumer electronics manufacturers to make possible the playback of digital music and other audio that has been compressed to less than 10% of its original file size....

Coinciding with Mobile World Congress, Canadian smartphone giant RIMhas announcedit will add a two more models of its BlackBerry Playbook tablet device, launching one model with LTE support and another to work on HSPA+ enabled networks. That puts the total number of BlackBerry Playbooks to four; BlackBerry PlayBook with Wi-Fi, BlackBerry 4G PlayBook with Wi-Fi and WiMax, BlackBerry 4G PlayBook with Wi-Fi and LTE and finally a BlackBerry 4G PlayBook with Wi-Fi and HSPA+....
