Gomez, founder of Atlanta-based consumer goods startup 4Q Brands, said he obsessively refined his photos and description, amassed reviews from happy customers, and paid Amazon $40,000 a month on advertising to boost sales, one of the elements Amazon tells sellers will increase search ranking....

Lendlereports that their access to the Amazon API, which was revoked yesterday and is crucial to the startup’s operation, has been reinstated. Yesterday wecovered Amazon’s decisionto revoke Lendle’s API access. Amazon didn’t provide much information, simply telling Lendle that their service does not “serve the principal purpose of driving sales of products and services on the Amazon site” — despite hordes of users reporting on Twitter that Lendle was the reason they’d purchased so many books from Amazon....

Times Of Indiareports that Amazon will be entering Indian markets in the first quarter of next year, which confirms our earlier report that Amazon will beopening an Indian office in 6 months. According to the report, Amazon is currently in discussion with various homegrown e-commerce players like Flipkart.com, LetsBuy.com and Exclusively.in, although it plans to set up its own operations in India.
