Samsung has announced that combined sales of its popular Galaxy S and Galaxy S II smartphones have topped 30 million units worldwide, with both devices breaking company sales records since their launch,Cellular News reports. Samsung’s Galaxy S II generated more than 10 million sales, making it the quickest selling device in the company’s history, with the Samsung Galaxy S heading for 20 million sales since its launch in 2010 – breaking records to become the highest-selling mobile handset in Samsung’s smartphone portfolio to date, maybe until the Galaxy S II surpasses it....

Samsung has launched its new group-messaging application ChatON, pushing the app live onGoogle’s Android Marketto provide Android users with a way to (in the near future) to chat with their friends on Android devices but also BlackBerry and iPhone smartphones and tablets. At the end of August, the Korean smartphone giant announced the new multi-platform mobile messaging service, a platform that will be capable of helping smartphone and tablet users to send text, images and video clips between its own Android smartphones but also Bada-powered handsets....
Samsungpartnered with SK Telecomto create the device, which is currently only available in Korea. The network operator said in a press release that the QRNG chip will be used to generate random numbers and patterns to secure applications used for finance, messaging, and authentication. The carrier company has already onboarded a bunch of partners including, banks like Standard Chartered andShinhan. Plus, SK Telecom’s own services like T-pass and Samsung’s payment system are secured by this method....
