As part of its massive software roll out today, Apple hasreleased its Cards applicationfor iOS, allowing owners to send beautiful letterpress cards comprised of their own text and photos from the comfort of their device. Once downloaded, users can swipe through the Cards carousel to select one of 21 preloaded letterpress designs that can be personalised with messages and photos. When the design is finalised, all that is needed is to select a recipient from the user’s contact list and Apple will take care of the rest....

As first reportedby Mac Stories, Apple just released its official WWDC app on the App Store, which is free, but only available for attendees. The WWDC 2011 app acts as a mobile guide to Apple’s upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference. The app includes conference information and the ability to make a reservation at the User Interface, App Review, iTunes Connect, Program Support, or Developer Publications lab. Use the app to view floor diagrams of Moscone West, where the conference is being held and use it to create a custom schedule of the sessions, labs, and events you plan on attending....
