An Apple employee has left another iPhone prototype at a bar in San Francisco,reports Cnet.Apparently the loss occurred in the Mission district in late July, according to their sources. The lost iPhone went missing at Cava 22, a ‘tequila lounge’, after which Apple contacted the San Francisco Police to get assistance in securing its return. Apple apparently told the police that the device was priceless and was ‘desperate’ to get it back....

First-quarter production volume forecasts of Apple’s next-generation iPad device are to be lowered from 600,000 units to 400,000 units after it emerged supply issues with the device’s touch-panels and adjustments in specifications would push back production. Both Foxconn Electronics and Apple have declined to comment on the rumors but sources close to Chinese-language trade publicationDigitimeshave said the Cupertino-based company is still on course to mass-produce the iPad 2 by the end of this month....

A report just infrom Bloomberg:Applehas begun work on new, cheaper and smaller iPhone models. Sources say Apple will consider selling the new versions, about a 1/3 smaller than the iPhone 4 for $200 without a contract obligation. If it comes out at all, it will likely be unveiled this summer 2011. Bloomberg also reported a few rumors circulating about new technology that Apple has in the works. Apple has reportedly placed orders for 10 million units of its next-generation iPhone smartphone with Taiwan-based manufacturer Pegatron Technology, with shipments expected to start in September,Digitimes reveals. Sources have said that because profit margins on the iPhone are small in comparison to those of its larger, more expensive iPad device, Pegatron is looking to secure orders for Apple’s new iPad 3 tablet, the MacBook Air and other Apple products. The company has reportedly upped its capacity by increasing production equipment and hiring more employees....
