Apple may be hindered in its attempts to open a new Apple Store in the heart of London’s financial district after the plot’s current owner, the City of London local authority, has been swept up in a legal issue that centres around neighbouring properties and their rights to sunlight. Reuters reportsthat the local authority has therefore applied to its transport and policy committees, requesting laws to be overridden that allow neighbours to block developments that restrict sunlight....

Moments ago, as reportedby macstories, Apple released the first update to OS X Lion. The Mac OS version 10.7.1 includes a number of fixes to the brand new operating system including WiFi reliability, video issues in Safari and reported audio issues with HDMI connectivity. Perhaps the most important update includes an improvement on the migration of old user data to the new Lion installation.
