I’m starting to feel like there’s a social app based on each one of the five senses. Today,Broadcastrreleased a new app that creates a social media platform for location-based audio. The free app hit the Apple store today just in time forSXSWi. The app allows users to automatically create or stream stories about their surroundings in real-time then tag its location and share it on Facebook, Twitter and email. I can’t wait for the social sharing app so I can finally start smelling what other people are smelling and then share it over Facebook and Twitter....

Audioboohas been one of those sleeper hits (readour intro to the servicehere) that has gathered a pretty massive following. The service, which allows you to record up to 5 minutes of audio (known as a Boo) and then send them to your network of other users, found some love from media sources when it was used during the hearings of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange to give updates during court recesses. Launched in March 2009, Audioboo allows users to record a near-unlimited snippets of audio, which they can share with friends or broadcast to the world. They can also add images, titles and tags and upload it to Audioboo.fm, complete with biographical and geographical information on where and when it was recorded....

Audioboo, the mobile & web-based platform that lets users record and upload audio, has announced the launch of a new service allowing users to upload files by email. The service, called ‘BooMail’, goes live today. As it stands, Audioboo allows users to record and upload unlimited audio clips via iphone, Android and some Nokia devices, as well as through the Audioboo website. BooMail will also allow BlackBerry users to upload audio content on the go, as well as giving web-users a new, faster route to updating their profiles....
