Luxury car brand Bentley plans to phase internal combustion engines out this decade. It has set 2025 as the year it will fully embrace electric power,CAR Magazinereports. The beginning will be marked with the Electro-luxe SUV, the carmaker’s first all electric car. Bentley’s EV will employ the Volkswagen Group’s Artemis platform, led by Audi. “WithArtemis we’re right in there at the beginning, helping define it. Berlin revamps its inner city with new ‘pedestrian protection laws’ Berlin Mobility Act In July 2018 Berlin’sSenate Department for the Environment, Transport, and Climate Protectionpassed a law to provide safer and more climate-friendly transport within the city. TheBerlin Mobility Actwas aimed at improving cyclist welfare by redesigning dangerous junctions, expanding spending on cycling infrastructure and parking facilities, and creating safe bicycle lanes along all main roads. The law was primarily introduced to reduce the number of deaths or serious injuries from traffic accidents — in 2020, almost 75% of the 50 traffic fatalities recorded in Berlin were pedestrians or cyclists....
