49% of Indians only access web through mobile

Opera Software just released a report detailing the mobile Internet in India and one of the interesting findings is that 49% of Indians are Mobile Only Internet Users (MOIUs), meaning people who never or infrequently use the desktop for Internet. 4G LTE broadband to be trialled in rural UK

The first UK trials of superfast 4G mobile broadband have beenannounced, with South Newquay in Cornwall the chosen location for the pilot project. Everything, Everywhere – owners for Orange and T-Mobile – has teamed up with BT to test out the new technology, which is hoped will bring fast Internet to rural areas that are difficult to reach by traditional networking methods.
