Facebook has perhaps become best known for its “Like” button. You can like news stories, videos, and whatever else your friends decide to post in the newsfeed. With f8’s announcement of Open Graph (Want to know everything that happened at Facebook’s f8 this year?Here you go.), one of the most exciting things announced was that developers can now make up their own verbs and actions people can take on content. Something like “Watch”, “Listen”, and “Read” will surely be seen on buttons in apps everywhere....

Facebook appears to be testing a new feature on user streams and members’ profiles, enabling the functionality to submit a comment simply by hitting enter, but also to edit a comment if it has been posted too hastily. We weren’t the only people that noticed it,HotTipsalso noticed the small update to the commenting feature this morning. It highlighted that if a user wants to start a new line whilst they are replying to a status update, they will now have to hold Shift-Enter to do so, although this is indicated by a small line of text underneath the comment box itself....

Rel8tiona hyper local mobile advertising startup has been acquired by Facebook. The startup which is still in stealth and based in Seattle will be joining the Facebook Seattle office. The company was founded by Scott Hannan, previously VP of Business Development at Pelago, owners ofWhrrl, and Seattle Serial Entrepreneur Peter Wilson. There’s not much information on what Rel8toin does, however it appears that it targets relevant adverts according to mobile users location and demographics....

Facebook will have to wait to put an end to the lawsuits filed by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss after a US appeals court in San Francisco put on hold all litigation between the parties whilst the Winklevosses’ request a reversal of their claims with the US Supreme Court. According to Bloomberg, the lawsuit, which originally accused Mark Zuckerberg of stealing the idea for the social networking site, seeks to void a settlement reached in 2008 with it claimed that it was procured through fraud....
