You may have read the stories about the recent lawsuit against Facebook in which Timelines.com claims the company infringes upon its “Timeline” trademark. Here is a section from the court complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court of Chicago: Facebook’s use of the term “Timeline,” and its redirection of Internet traffic from Timelines’ Facebook page to Facebook’s new “Timeline” offering, infringes on Timelines’ federally registered trademarks in that it causes confusion as to the source of the services offered to users of the Internet....

Facebook Timeline may go live October 19th

Developers who activate and set up theirFacebook Timeline, they are now being told that if they don’t choose to publish it now, it will go live on October 19th, 2011. Even if you’re not a Facebook developer there has been a“hack”of sorts in place to become a developer and gain early access to your Facebook timeline, if you didn’t want tosign up and wait. At this time, it is not known if Facebook’s Timeline will be available to everyone on October 19th, but as you can see by the screenshot above, Timelines will be published publicly on that date....
