The coronavirus pandemic is in a dreadful phase in India with more than 300,000 cases daily cases registered over the last 10 days. Amid people searching for hospital beds, oxygen, and meds, the government has opened up its vaccination program for alladults aged above 18. Till now, the vaccination program allowed anyoneabove 45, as well as healthcare workers, and frontline workers to get the approved shots to fight COVID-19. As the program opens up for more people, Facebook is rolling out a new tool to find the nearest vaccination center in the coming days....

Facebook is ready to call out pages that share misinformation repeatedly. The company is debuting a new label that says “This page shares misinformation repeatedly” when you like the page. The firm will link to posts that have been debunked by authorized fact-checkers in the pop-up with more information. That’s a pretty good idea for steering people away from pages that mislead people. In 2019, Mark Zuckerberg kicked off the project to merge Facebook Messenger, Instagram DMs, and WhatsApp. Last year, the company started unifying Instagram and Messenger by allowing you tomessage contacts across both networks.
