Google’s 2020 Pixel Buds, despite some notable flaws, are some ofmy favorite Bluetooth headphones— and I say that as an audiophile who’s persnickety about sound quality. They had a balance of sound quality, features, comfort, and smarts that few headphones can match to date. Unfortunately, Google appears to have just killed them. There’s a leaderboard, showing which users have traveled the farthest distance and Game Center ‘achievements’ can be earned for actions like manually updating or hiding your location....

Googletoday launched theGoogle API Explorer, a tool that lets developers explore the application programming interfaces the company has made available and even test the API functions without leaving the app. The API Explorer supports the Buzz, Custom Search, Diacritize, Moderator, Shopping, Translate and URL Shortener APIs. Google plans to make more available fairly quickly. “Today, the Explorer supports over a half dozen APIs – and we expect that number to grow rapidly over the coming weeks and months,” said the developers in aGoogle Code blog post....

Google announced on the official Google India blog on Thursday that the company hadbrought the Chrome Web Store to Indian shores, along with 23 other countries. The Chrome Web Store waslaunched in December last yearas a way for users of the browser to get access to apps, extensions and themes designed for it. Now that it has found its way to India, Google Chrome users in the country will be able to access all the content that is currently available on the store....
