Amazon Cloud Drive now has unlimited space for music and support for the iPad, thecompany reported this evening.
Users of Cloud Drive start with 5GB of free storage, and now for $20 a year, users can buy 20 GB of file storage and unlimited, unmetered space for MP3 storage. Without the paid plan, the service can still be used to store all Amazon MP3 purchases for free and won’t count towards the quota.
Unfortunately, the unlimited music storage is a limited time offer, so you’ll have to buy a subscription soon if you want to take advantage of it. Amazon hasn’t said when they will be ending the promotion.
The company has also announced that Cloud Player for Web is now supported on the iPad, allowing users to play music stored in the cloud from anywhere. The app now supports Android phones and tablets, Mac, PC and the iPad. There’s no indication as to when we might see iPhone support.

Of course, despite Amazon’s lack of music licensing agreements, the service is available only in the United States.
