Research in Motion, together with Chungwa Telecom, officially launchesBlackBerrysmartphones and services in Taiwan to offer comprehensive mobile solutions for both enterprise customers and consumers.

ChungHwa Telecom is offering customers the new BlackBerry Torch smartphone as well as BlackBerry service plans both for enterprise and individuals on its 3G network.Chunghwa Telecomis also offering subscribers monthly International Roaming for BlackBerry data service covering 23 countries.

“Chunghwa Telecom sees great demand for the highly efficient push-based BlackBerry solution in Taiwan, especially in the enterprise market. Working withRIMto launch BlackBerry products and services, Chunghwa Telecom customers will now be able to enjoy highly secure and efficient push-based mobile access to email and corporate data,” said Shih Mu-Piao, President, Chunghwa Telecom Mobile Business Group.

The partnership with Vodafone will enable Chunghwa Telecom to offer a range of managed communications services to multi-national enterprises and introduce a number of special offers for international roaming data services.
