As we noted earlier,Facebook is making a lot of changessince the f8 conference.
One change that wassent our wayis that the company is discontinuing the “Discussions” app on pages on October 31st.
Facebook says in the message below:
“We’re Making Pages Better”
The company is also encouraging page owners to start discussions on their wall to get people involved. This makes complete sense, as the “Discussions” feature seemed like a forum-style solution that didn’t fit in with the real-time conversational and personal nature of the Facebook wall.

Below is a screenshot of a current Discussions page, and you’ll note that you were able to create topics and that people were able to comment and discuss the topic in a forum-style layout. We agree that the wall is the best place for these conversations.
It will be interesting to see if Facebook applies the Timeline changes to Pages, or if the company has something else up its sleeve to “Make Pages Better”.
