Zoopla, a UK property search and information website, has today launchedheatmaps, which show the average current value of homes across the UK in an easy-to-visualize format.
Back in March, wereportedon Zoopla’s new Property Archive feature, enabling visitors to view data on over 2 million property listings. Now with heatmaps, users can see the relative property values in any area of the country too.
Heatmaps can be found on all maps across Zoopla’s website and they can be viewed at any zoom-level, meaning you can look at individual postcodes or at a broader regional or national level:
Zoopla’s heatmaps show that the average property value in London is £415,000, whilst for the whole of England it’s £229,000. For the record, Wales is £153,000 and Scotland is £158,000.
In addition to heatmaps, Zoopla has also added another property research tool for house-hunters, meaning you can now search formarket overviewstats based on area, the number of properties on the market, the average asking price, the average size of properties and the average price-per-square-foot and more.
