Sometimes the best ideas are the obvious ones. Around the water cooler here at TNW, we’ve talked before about doing recap posts from the past day, the past 12 hours or what have you. Not only is it a great chance for our 24-hour operation to stay on top of what we’ve already covered, it’s also valuable to our readers for an at-a-glance reference.
Many times, though, people don’t have the option to stop and read a post. We here at TNW understand that, even if getting eyes to the page is the lifeblood of our business. What could we do, then, to provide an easier way to keep up with the tech stories from the past day, for our readers around the world? A podcast, of course!
Unlike our normalTNW Podcast, The Daily Dose is a short-form, easily digestible audio bit that will run down the top headlines of the past 24 hours in 5 minutes or less. There’s no in-depth discussion or fluff involved, just a headline, a short explanation and then on to the next.
You’ll find The Daily Dose published Monday through Friday right here on The Next Web. We’re hosting it viaSoundCloud, because we honestly think that it’s the best way to make the audio readily available. Of course you can subscribe toThe Daily Dose via iTunesand have it loaded to your player of choice daily. There’s also an RSS subscription tothe SoundCloud feeditself, if you so choose.
