Hot on the heels of the reveal of Microsoft’sWindows App Storecomes news that the latest build of Windows 8 has been leaked.
The build is the latest version of the 7850 build that has been shown at industry events starting back at CES in January. If you’re curious the exact build number is 6.1.7850.0.winmain_win8m1.100922-1508_x86fre_client-enterprise_en-us.iso. The build was discovered by Windows enthusiast siteNeowin.netand they indicate that this is the final 6.1 build.
The build was posted on a private FTP and leaked on theBetaarchiveforums early this morning. It’s not currently available to the public but should become available soon as torrent sites like The Pirate bay and others pick up the file and begin distributing it.
The current build of Windows 8 hides most of it’s changes under the hood as it does not implement the hotly anticipated user interface refresh. Windows 8 is supposed to officially begin beta testing later this year for a 2012 release.
