Orange, the UK mobile phone network, has announced that it’s giving its Windows Phone users a free app every day in July.
Working in conjunction with Microsoft, the deal will apply to both contract and and pay-as-you-go customers, and Orange Windows Phone users will access the free apps from an exclusive ‘Orange Selects’ folder onWindows Marketplace.
Visitors to the Orange Selects folder will see a selection of the most popular apps, and the top app will be available to download for free for one day only. The list will change each day in July, and customers can download up to 31 individual apps, amounting to around £70 over the course of the month.
Neil Holroyd, Senior Multimedia Product Manager, Everything Everywhere – Orange’s parent company, said:
‘‘We’ve been working with Microsoft to provide a more enriched app experience for our Windows Phone customers. By offering a selection of the most popular apps for free, we hope to continue to enhance our customers’ smartphone experience by allowing them to try something new.’’
