Angry Birds gamers with Android smartphones will soon be able to enjoy the insanely popular game without obtrusive in-app adverts after games developers Rovio took to Twitter to confirm an ad-free version of the game was almost ready.
Rovio’sTwitter messagecame in response to a number of questions on whether a paid-app was nearing release, stating “give us another month and we’ll be there”:
Rovio initially launched the Angry Birds beta for free on the Android Market, topping1 million downloadsin under two weeks. When the game publicly launched, it was released as an ad-supported app on alternativeAndroid marketplace GetJar, earning the company a reported $1 million a month from advertising alone.
Angry Birds has surpassed the 50 million download mark worldwide and is now available on smartphones, the Mac App Store and also onWindows PC’s.

Rovio’s Mighty Eagle Peter Vesterbacka recently announced that Angry Birds users across the world now spend a cumulative200 hoursplaying the game every day.
