Google has announcedthat it is to provide access to live footage of the Royal Wedding between Prince William and Catherine Middleton, making the livestream available via the Royal Household’sofficial YouTube channel.
Beginning at 9am GMT on Friday, April 29, the stream will follow the wedding procession, marriage ceremony at Westminster Abbey and the all important balcony kiss. With searches for the Royal Wedding coming from far and wide, the search giant is hoping to make the huge event accessible to everyone.
It’s not the first time Google has announced it is involved in hosting Royal Wedding media – it hasalready been chosenby St. James’s Palace to provide its computing infrastructure for the Royal Wedding website.
Accompanying the livestream will be a live blog of the event, updating to provide commentary and insights as the day progresses. Once the event is over, the entire ceremony will be made available to watch on-demand.

A video guestbook has also been opened, allowing anyone to upload messages of congratulations and send their wishes to the newlyweds.
