Skyfire, the most popular Flash-playing alternative web browser for the iPad, was updated on Monday to add automatic discovery of Flash videos to its bag of tricks,as reported by AppAdvice.
Skyfire Web Browserwas updated late last year to add support for the iPad. Its hallmark feature is its ability to do server-side conversion of Flash videos on over 200,000 websites and stream them to your iOS device is a format its more friendly towards.
In past versions of the app, the user had to tap on a button in the lower left corner of the app and wait for it to discover Flash videos on the webpage they were on. With this update, that is no longer the case. The browser now automatically discovers Flash videos on any webpage you visit and pops up the video-playing control for you to use. This update also fixes a minor bug where the custom homepage would occasionally get reset to the default setting.
