This rather tantalising video purporting to show a new iOS multitasking interface has emerged today and I for one hope it’s genuine.

Demoed what appears to be a white iPhone 4, gone is the tiny, limited, multitasking tray at the foot of the screen, replaced by a beautiful full-screen thumbnail view of all currently active apps. It’s similar to Mobile Safari’s tab management interface and iOS’ full-device search function appears to have been thrown into the mix too. In all, it creates a really handy one-stop shop for finding and managing apps on your device.

The video first emerged onVietnamese forumand the post’s author speculates that the device he was holding was an iPhone 5, although there’s no actual evidence to back that up.

Whether it’s really a leaked Apple product or just some kind of homebrew solution isn’t clear, but one thing’s for sure – it’s beautifully slick and incredibly well-produced and it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see this, or something similar, unveiled by Cupertino’s finest at its WWDC even in June.
