I’m a big fan of lazy, but I’m also a big fan of exercising my cerebral cortex. It’s with these two facts in mind thatTEDchannelTVis exactly the sort of mashup that I love to see.
Created bySteve Streza, the lead platform developer forRead It Later, TEDchannelTV takes the TED Talks that are on YouTube and plays them for you endlessly, and randomly. With its full-window display, it also does so beautifully:
In the shot above, I was hovering over the screen. When you do, you’ll see options along the top to share what you’re watching, or add it to your Read It Later list (well played, Steve). On the bottom you have a button to skip backwards 30 seconds, pause or shuffle to the next video in line.
It’s simple, it does exactly what it says, and it’s a great way to sit back and learn something new while being completely lazy. Add these 3 facts together and you come up with something that’s certainly deserving of a few minutes of your time.
