Here’s an interesting find – an officially branded Google stereo system.
According toElectric Pig, this unit turned up today at an audio-visual industry trade show in the UK. The story goes that Google commissioned this unit from a manufacturer called Chord Electronics. A customised version of the company’s own Chordette Carry system, the ‘Google Carry’ is branded in the search giant’s colours and displays the word ‘DROID’ on its LED display.
Chord is apparently under an NDA, so can’t discuss the product (although why they’re publicly displaying it in that case, we’re not sure) and it’s not intended for public sale. We’ve contacted Google to find out if this really is the real deal or not. Either way, it’s an interesting, if ugly, curio.
