The Social Network, the highly acclaimed movie about the founding of Facebook, won 3 of 8 nominations at the 83rd Oscar Academy Awards. Unfortunately, it didn’t win Best Picture.

It was nominated for 8 awards including Best Picture, Best Director (David Fincher), Best Adapted Screenplay (Aaron Sorkin), Best Original Score (Trent Reznor), Best Actor in a Leading Role (Jesse Eisenberg), Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, and Best Sound Mixing.
The story revolves around Harvard undergraduate Mark Zuckerberg, who developed a computer program that will eventually become the phenomenally successful social networking site, Facebook. It was directed by David Fincher and features a cast of young ensembles including Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Brenda Song, Armie Hammer, Max Minghella, Rashida Jones, Joseph Mazzello, and Rooney Mara.
