Channel 4, a TV broadcaster in the UK, hasannouncedthat it’s releasing an iOS app for Channel 4 News, and it will carry video, special reports, blogs and picture galleries.
The app can be accessed with WiFi or 3G connectivity, and users can view the latest domestic and international news stories, plus the most important news from politics, science and technology, business and culture.
Plus, all the Channel 4 News blogs, including Cathy Newman’sFactCheckand theWorld NewsBlog. A special ‘Catch up’ feature will also be available on the app, allowing users to watch video of the last seven days from the Channel 4 News at noon and 7pm programmes.
BBC firstreleaseda news app back in July 2010, with theAndroid versionfollowing in May this year. Channel 4 has said it plans to release an Android version of its news app within a few months.

As with any good app, the Channel 4 News app will allow users to share all of this content through social media and email, and it will be available to download for free from Friday July 15. You canread moreabout the iOS app on Channel 4’s website.
