Bears morphing into horses? Buffalos morphing into tarantulas? It’s all happening today at Google I/O.

Last year,Google showcased HTML5, working with Arcade Fire on “Wilderness Downtown,” an amazing interactive promo for their new album “Suburbs.” This year the head of Google’s Creative Lab took the stage at Google I/O to unleash a new interactive music experience called “Three Dreams of Black” built with Chrome’s newWebGL. Three Dreams of Black is part of the projectRO.ME, spearheaded by Danger Mouse and Danielle Luppi.

Three Dreams of Black is an interactive film by Chris Milk featuring musicians Jack White and Norah Jones. The musical album will drop later this month. The open source project is an experience starts off with 2D animation then it dumps users into an amazing 3D interactive world letting them manipulate the environment in realtime.
