The social network is now letting you sign in or sign up through your Google and Apple ID. You can use your Google ID on the app or on the web. However, your Apple ID will only work on iOS devices for now; support for the web will be added alter

The company has been testing this functionality in thebeta version of apps for a while now. But it’s officially out now. If you’re signing up for the first time, you’ll be asked to specify your birth date and choose a user name for your account.
You can also link your existing account to your Google or Apple ID if the email addresses are the same. As perTwitter’s support page, you can disconnect your Google or Apple account from the web only. However, Apple sign-in is not available on the web yet. So you’ll be stuck if you want to unlink your Apple account from your Twitter account.

Earlier this year, Twitter said thatuser growth will slow down in 2021as compared to the last year. So making third-party sign-up options available could be a tiny step towards boosting those numbers.
