Of all the sections of a website, the ‘Contact Us’ page is one of the most important, and yet it often provides little more than an email address or a simple form which allows visitors to leave a message. Israeli startupvCitais looking to change that with a powerful contact solution.
vCita’s Contact and Schedule widget can be embedded on any site and allows visitors to not only send a message, but also schedule a meeting via an integrated calendar that shows when you’re available. Meetings can then be carried out using integrated video meeting room or conference call services. The service even integrates billing and payments, meaning that it’s possible to carry out paid consultations via the service if you choose.
vCita is aiming particularly at entrepreneurs and companies as a way of acquiring new business and meeting clients, and bloggers (as a way of engaging with their audience and potentially monetising their expertise through paid one-to-one sessions. In addition to the widget, vCita offers standalone contact pages, hosted on their servers which you can use if you prefer.
Founded by Itzik Levy, whose previous startup Kidaro was acquired by Microsoft in 2008, vCita is available for free. However, users who wish to offer billable meetings will need to pay a monthly subscription of $21.95 or ($13.95 per month for a year’s commitment).
