Vivo is a phone company that isn’t shy to try out new camera tech in its handsets. Last year, it debutedthe X50 serieswith gimbal stabilization, and this year it included a 50-megapixel sensor of 1/1.31-inch size inthe X60 Pro+.

For its latest trick,  the company has introduced a 44-megapixel camera in the front with optical image stabilization (OIS). This selfie camera in the V21 phone is able is to capture 4K videos with support for AI-based low-light enhancement. The V21 improves on last year’s V20 camera with these added goodies.

The phone has front flashes built into the edges of the display that can combine with the screen flash for a unique effect in photos and videos.

The device looks very much like the Chinese manufacturer’s X60 series of phones. The device isultra slim at 7.29mm, and supports 5G. The V21 has a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.
