Here’s a hilarious video I came across just now, featuring a delinquent Waymo taxi.

YesterdayYouTuber JJRicks Studios has shared a video of their eventful ride with a Waymo driverless robotaxi.

Halfway through the ride the vehicle was required to make a right turn to the main road — however the right lane was closed off. The taxi’s planner showed that the car wanted to go right anyway, but it got confused, and just… stopped.

The roadside service team got alerted by the unexpected pause and made an in-car call to JJRicks to reassure him that roadside assistance was on its way.

Brace yourselves for the next development: when roadside assistance was close enough, the taxi decided to evade capture. So it took off on its own, made the right turn, got confused again, and stopped a few meters after, blocking traffic.

And if that’s not enough, the car tried to run away from road assistance two more times, until a human driver was able to get in!

Quite expectedly, Waymo rushed to give an official statement defending its AI driver.

Well, you get the picture, butwatch the video above and see for yourself.
