The WHATWG (Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group) today published an edition of theHTML5 specification for web developers, compiled by Melbourne, Australia developerBen Schwarz.
The developer’s edition is intended to be more readable than the official specification so that developers can find the information they need more quickly, and removes information that’s only relevant to browser developers.
The WHATWG was founded in 2004 byApple, theMozilla FoundationandOpera Software. The three organizations became disgruntled with the way theW3Cwas handling the development of XHTML and splintered off to form the group that would begin work on HTML5.
