Days after Oppo revealed itsnew-gen under-the-screen cameratech, Xiaomi is set to debut its own in a mainstream device. The company is expected to show off its tech in the Mi Mix 4, launching on August 10.
Agatha Tang, the company’s head of global PR, posted a teaser on Twitter touting the clear screen design without a notch or a hole punch.

Xiaomi had demoed itsthird-gen under-the-screen selfie camera techlast year and had promised to launch a device feature in 2021 at that time. Reports in June indicated that the firm could include this tech inmultiple phones releasing this year, including the Mi Mix 4.

Earlier this week, a leaker called Digital Chat Station shared a video ofthe Mi Mix 4on Chinese social network Weibo showing off the invisible selfie camera under the screen and a super flexible display.
Other leaks have hinted that the device will havea 4,500 mAh batterywith 120W wired fast charging support and 80W wireless fast charging support.
Notably, other companies such asOppoand Samsung have only managed to showcase this tech in prototype devices. Xiaomi would be the second company in the world to debut this in a commercial device after ZTE, which has launchedtwo phoneswith under-the-screen selfie tech.
